Anson Carter and Steve Guolla scored two goals each to pace Michigan State to a
6-3 victory in Oxford Saturday night. Miami's Andrew Miller scored two also,
but the Redskins could only manage to put 3 of their 37 shots (22 in the second
period) into the net. With the loss, Miami ends up in a fourth place tie with
Lake Superior St., but loses the tie-breaker due to total goals. Michigan
State can still claim second with a BG loss, but at last report, BG was
defeating Ferris State, 2-0.
The loss was devastating for the Redskins, who will most likely now have to
play at Lake St. in the midweek #4 vs. #5 game (barring any first-round
upsets). Miami lost big time up there, but managed three of four points
against the Lakers in Goggin Arena.
