I've been gone a while, until 5/27/94 when the Listserv program put me back on.
I am Rich from RPI.
I just read over 1.5 Meg from the past month on our local Usenet feed.
RPI 10- McGill 3. Awesome fisticuffs at end. First time I personally have seen
10 RPI goals in a single game, and this is my eighth season here. And yes,
the fight was barely covered by RPI's newspaper and not at all by the local
media. What a ripoff for the price of the Sunday paper! :)
There were 119 minutes of penalties in the game. Still comes in second to the
204 minute record of Freakout 1991, the all-time greatest! Two weeks earlier
was the previous record of 196 minutes: RPI @ St. Lawrence. Both games
refereed by John Malinowski. Where is he now? BRING HIM BACK!!! :)
And the previous record (I think) was a game in jan. 1989 : Colgate at RPI
which had 148 minutes in penalties including 2 10-min. for no mouthpieces and
1 10-min for illegal stick (size?!!?). I believe RPI won all three of these games.
Tomorrow night: BU @ RPI. Anyone attending : I am in Sec. 15 Row J Seat 2.
I also have the seat right behind it. I ama maniac!!!Just ask my neighbors in
the stands. Come by and say hi, regardless of which team you follow. My goal
is to meet as many Hockey-l ers as possible this season....
Coming next time: My Union adventure.....

"Now lookee here- I see it all and I see OJ, an' he looks SCARED!!!"
-"Robert Higgins", prank call to Peter Jenningd
"Peter, this is Al Michaels. That was a totally farcical call...He said some-
thing in code at the end that was indicative of the mentioning of the name
of a certain radio talk show host."
-Al Michael's greatest ABC broadcast line! ;)
