The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for March 30, 1994:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
The Birthday Edition (the big Three-Oh for me) of the HOCKEY-L poll finds
Boston University on top again, with Lake Superior rising to the second spot
on the strength of their OT win against Michigan in the NC$$ tournament.
The Wolverines, #1 for most of the season, have now dropped to fourth
place -- their lowest ranking by HOCKEY-L since the first week of the poll,
when Michigan was sixth.
Speaking of sixth, that's where we find Minnesota, the only NC$$ semi-
finalist not to be ranked in the top four. Not only that, the Gophers are
ranked behind Mass Lowell, the team they beat in double overtime to make it
to the Phinal Phour. Not that this makes any difference when the teams take
the ice, but if I were BU, I'd be a little worried about facing a good team
that probably feels like they've been getting "dissed".
