I wonder how many other ECAC fans instantly thought of the Lappin brothers.

Marietta, GA had won the series 6 years before Trumball. And though it was
reported afterwards that Trumball was being challenged for irregularities
(read: signing up ringers illegally, though the way both US and non-US
organizations build LLWS teams I have no idea if there are any real rules
left at all), in fact Trumball did surivive and keep their title, and for
all we know those challenges are just a part of the overall sportsmanship of
the event, a la the America's Cup.

Is there a 12-13 year old little league *hockey* title that is comparable (i
.e., a world title, whatever that means), and if so, who is defending champ?
