HOCKEY-D is a compendium or digest of HOCKEY-L postings. Rather than
reading postings individually from HOCKEY-L, you might subscribe to
HOCKEY-D. Each HOCKEY-D posting (issue) contains 10-30 postings
(usually 500-1500 lines). Whereas HOCKEY-L has averaged 15-20 postings
per day, HOCKEY-D has averaged 1 posting per day over the past couple of
months.
HOCKEY-D does not contain anything other than HOCKEY-L postings, yet not
all HOCKEY-L postings will be found in HOCKEY-D as trivial postings and
off-subject postings are omitted.
For subscription information, see your HOCKEY-L welcoming message,
(replacing HOCKEY-L with HOCKEY-D), or contact me via private mail.

P.S. It's *Charlie* Slavin, a math professor at U of Maine.
