I have to say, I would love to see college hockey on TV as much as the next
guy, but let's face it... it just will never happen on a large scale...
sure, some games will be covered (NESN gets BU and Northeastern games - most
often they don't even cover the BC and Harvard games) and I am sure some
pay channels out in the west also cover some of the games there... but the
fact is this --- why would college hockey be televised when NHL hockey isn't
even televised????? I live near New York City, and the only way I would
follow the NHL finals was to listen to it on the radio!!!!
I am not saying that pressure shouldn't be put on the cable channels to try
and get games on TV, but I just want to introduce a little bit of reality into
this discussion... don't get you hopes up to high... Personally, I see the
finals on ESPN as just about the best it will ever get
