BOSTON -- Third time's a charm. The University of Maine Black Bears,
in their third shootout in four away games, garnered three points
in the Hockey East standings after tieing the Boston College Eagles
4-4 and outshooting the Eagles 2-1 in a shootout.
Maine came back from a 3-1 deficit heading into the third period
and scored three power play goals to take a 4-3 lead with 2:02
remaining in the period. But with 0:46 remaining, Boston College
tied the score, forcing overtime.
Maine is now 2-0-3 in Hockey East, 5-0-3 overall. Boston College
is 1-1-1 in Hockey East, 2-4-1 overall.
