The Minneapolis Star Trib gave Maine no separate, pre-game write up, unlike
the Target Center openers Michigan who got a entire spread with picture.

Why?

Here is what it said in today's paper in a small insert next to a larger
article on Steve Debus, the Gopher goalie:

Gophers VS Maine

Gopher's update: The Gophers lost 3 -2 to Michigan last Friday in the Hall of
Fame Game, which does not count against their record... The Gophers are 7-7
against Maine but have lost their past five games against the Black Bears,
including a 6-2 loss in the NCAA East Regional Final in their last meeting,
March 27, 1193....
D Dylan Mills (hip flexor) and F Cory Miller (arthroscopic knee surgery) are
expected to be ready.

Maine update: The Black Bears are ranked eighth in the latest US College
Hockey Online poll, one spot behind the Gophers. The Bears finished 24-10-1
last season and won 15 of their past 18 games but were not eligible for the
NCAA tournament because of sanctions....The team returns its top three
scorers
from last season: Steve Kariya (19-31--50,35 games), Shawn Wansborough
(18-21--39,35) and Cory Larose (10-27--37,35).
