MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Defending national champion University of North
Dakota,
continuing where it left off last year, finished first in the U.S.
College
Hockey Online Preseason Poll, as the unanimous pre-season number one
choice.
 
Boston University, the 1996-97 NCAA runner-up, finished second, while
Michigan State University, the University of Minnesota, and Colorado
College round out the top five.
 
The poll was renamed the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll this season,
from
the name "Around the Rinks/USCHO Poll" last season. U.S. College Hockey
Online plans on upholding the high expectations held for the largest and
most diverse college hockey poll in the nation.

conference, and two voters with national interests. The poll is

on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis, and published weekly by the Associated
