For those that didn't see it, there was a regular season match up between
these two. It was the last game of the regular season for Philly. Dunham
started in net for New Jersey; Snow replaced Hextal shortly into the 2nd
period after Hextal had let four goals go through. Philly was down 4-1 when
Snow came into the game. IMHO it was Snow's play in this game that made the
decision for who would start in net during the playoff's.

He came up big numerous times; but none bigger than in the final couple of
minutes when he made an awesome save against a Devils player coming up from
mid-ice on a one-on-one. No Philly players got back in time. The rebound
from the save directed into the path of a phillies player who then skated
behind Garth and up the length of the ice; where Philly preceeded to score.
This was the go ahead and game winning goal. The entire Philly bench went
nuts and they were all pointing at Garth to let him know he created the
opportunity. It was beautiful and within seconds when the game ended the
players were mobbing Garth.

The announcers for ESPN2 were talking about the two goalies history together.
They talked about the NCAA championship year and even mentioned this years
team and the fact that even though they couldn't participate in post season
what a great team Maine had this year. What little was discussed, was
positive coverage. (Wonder if any of the BDN sports "reporters" heard it
:-)
