There was a pep rally for some UMaine winter sports today at UMaine,
and obviously this is not a very happy day for the UMaine program who
lost its equipment manager in a tragic accident.
 
Coach Shawn Walsh did speak at the rally, and if anyone was there,
please send your reaction.  WZON played a clip and Walsh was clearly
very upset, pausing often and his voice frequently breaking our of
sheer emotion.  We are used to seeing and hearing Walsh as a pillar of
strength and confidence and this just goes to show how much Britt meant
to them all.
 
His detractors like to call him a cold-hearted criminal, but this is
just another piece of evidence that Shawn Walsh loves Maine hockey and
all those associated with it.
