Team Canada Women: Olympic training camp roster
The ECAC League adds three players to Team Canada's training camp that
features 28 players. Defender Becky Kellar (Brown97), and forwards Dana
Antal (Cornell) and Tammy Shewchuk (Harvard) have been selected to compete
for a spot on the Canadian Olympic team. Kellar is a great skater and was
a tower of strength on the Bruno blue line. She also is an excellent
center. Antal could give Canada some very special playmaking skills with
her clever touches. Shewchuk is a born scorer and might be the spark the
Canadian attack needs right now. It is great to see these current ECAC
League players join former Northeastern players Laura Schuler (NU93) and
Vicki Sunohara (NU89) on Team Canada.

The training camp will assemble in Calgary in September for 5 1/2 months
to gear up for the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, from Feb. 7 to 17,
1998. The team will be based at Father David Bauer Arena and play
exhibition games, as well as the second annual Three Nations Cup in Lake
Placid, N.Y., from Dec. 12 to 21, 1997.
