Notes for 12/20/92:
Michigan was idle this past week but LSSU's and WMU's strong performance
against Maine (and Princeton) in the Great Western Freezeout helped
boost the Wolverines at the expense of the Black Bears. The gap between
#1 and #2 is now less than 2 goals. Due to some relatively low-scoring
games this past week, the idle Wolverines offense improved from #7 to
#3.
Minnesota is the week's big winner picking up 7 spots with a sweep of
#10 St Cloud. Ferris State also picked up 6 spots by staying within one
goal in two games with #7 Miami. Harvard's 2-goal win over #43
Dartmouth wasn't enough as the Crimson fell 4 spots along with idle
UMass-Lowell. Northeastern easily remains the most lopsided team with
#4 offense and #42 defense.
CHODR had predicted home teams to win every game this past week and it
was true to form in all but one case (Minnesota 4 @ St Cloud 3). We
can also call Ferris State's tie against Miami a miss since Miami was
favored by almost 3 goals. CHODR also correctly predicted the outcome
of all four games of the Great Western Freeze Out. So all in all,
CHODR was 13-2 on the week.
A summary of the CHODR projections for next week's action, including
most of the holiday tournaments, will be posted later in the week.
