if you brush the dust off and open your history books, you'll find
that long ago, michigan was the west. when the michigan fight song
was written, this was still the truth.
i guess some people think the fight song has too much character to
change the words to "champions of the midwest". then there those of
you who would be just as well off to never hear our beloved fight
song, ever, ever, again...
