I'm not getting into the campus vs. regional debate, but as a UNH alum and season ticket holder in two sports, I do have to debate some of this statement. What large metropolitan area is Durham near? It's an hour north of Boston, longer by bus, which is the only public transportation available. It's a half hour out of Portsmouth, and I doubt Coast (the local bus line) could handle the extra passenger load for that run. While the Whittemore Center is a great arena (albeit a little generic), I have trouble picturing Durham as being similar, demographically, to Albany or Boston.
