Dan Doucette asks:
>Is the automatic bid based upon regular season HE champion or the winner of

>PLAYOFF series.
Both the regular season and playoff champions in all four
Division I conferences receive automatic bids to the NCAA tournament.
If there are co-champions in the RS, the automatic bid goes to the one
that wins the tie-breaker(s) and gets the top seed in the conference
tournament.
In addition, as of last season, any team winning both the RS
and tournament titles in a conference gets an automatic first-round
bye in the NCAAs.
