The Michigan game to which I refer was actually a contest between Michigan
and Maine on October 26, 1995. It was recorded as a regular-season,
non-conference game. Looking in the HOCKEY-L score archives, I find
refernces to these Hall of Fame games:
10/3/87 St Cloud 0 vs Minnesota 6 EX
10/7/89 Northern Michigan 5 vs Minnesota 6 EX
10/6/90 Michigan Tech 2 vs Minnesota-Duluth 2 EX
10/12/91 Northern Michigan 7 vs Minnesota 5 EX
10/17/92 North Dakota 3 vs Minnesota-Duluth 4 EX
10/15/93 Michigan Tech 5 at Minnesota 4 EX
10/14/94 Wisconsin 6 at Minnesota-Duluth 4 EX
10/26/95 Maine 3 vs Michigan 6 NC
10/12/96 Boston University 4 at Minnesota 3 EX
I couldn't find information on the 1988 game, or any before 1987. Note
that all, with the exception of 1995, were played before the start of the
Div1 season and were recorded as exhibitions.
