UAF's leading scorer in '94-'95, senior Corey Spring, signed a 2 year
contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL, it was announced today.
Spring is a 6'4", 220# winger from Cranbrook, BC.
He didn't play with the UAF tennis or football team, as the school has
neither :-). Should he make the parent team, he will join Shawn Chambers of
the NJ Devils as Fairbanks alums (=BF matriculants ?) in the Show. Can any
other team boast of doubling their NHL presence this season?
