Not everybody is leaving early to join the pros. In fact, some are doing the
opposite. Jason Mansoff, University of Maine defenseman, had a tryout with
the Portland Pirates during spring break and was offered a contract to finish
up the season. He declined, because he wanted to return to the university and
complete his degree in electrical engineering.
