The Princeton Tigers opened their 98th season in fine fashion friday night
by defeating the visiting McGill Redmen 8-0. Sr Terry Morris and Jr Troy
Ewanchyna both scored a pair of goals to lead a balanced Tiger attack. Sr
Craig Fiander and Soph Rod Yorke split the game between the pipes to earn
the shutout.
The big news from Baker has to be the freshmen class, one of the best I've
seen since I've been following Princeton Hockey. The freshmen got plenty of
ice time friday night, including 6'4" 215 pound defenseman Jason Smith, who
got his first goal of the year. Second year coach Don Cahoon's first class
of recruits looks solid.
The Tigers return to action next week with tough road games at Cornell and
Colgate, then return to Baker Rink to host Harvard and Brown on the 20th and
21st. They close out the month of November hosting HE powerhouse BU on the
28th.
