According to the Boston Globe (3-25-99), UMass-Amherst junior defenseman Dean Stork has signed a pro contract with the Washington Capitals. Doesn't say whether they are playing him at the NHL or the AHL (portland pirates) level, although they are short defensemen in Washington due to injuries. It does say he played three seasons of juniors before joining the Minutemen; was his eligibility up, or did he have one more season remaining? Anyone know?
