RPI beat BU 4-2 earlier in the season. Does that mean that RPI should
get a higher seed than BU? Of course not! One regular season game is not
enough to justify a higher seed placement. Every team this year has had
their share of poor showings this season (BU vs. Harvard, Mich. vs. Miami,
just to name two). The question is: Which teams has had more poor showings.
UMass-Lowell, in my opinion, has proved all season and especially in the HE
tournament that they deserve to be the #3 seed in the East.
Here are my predictions for the NCAA seedings for what its worth (probably
not much)!
EAST WEST
1 BU Michigan
2 Harvard Lake Superior St.
3 UMass-Lowell Minnesota
4 UNH Wisconsin
5 Michigan St. RPI
6 Northeastern St. Cloud State
#5 for East in West works so that the cross-overs will let RPI and MSU play
in the arenas that they are hosting. #6E could very well be Clarkson or Western M
Western Michigan.
