A mixture of conference and non-conference games this weekend; all
nine teams including Mass Amherst will be in action. The big sets
are home and homes between rivals BU-BC as well as a set between
UNH-NU, two of the top teams in the league. Also, the Merrimack
Valley rivalry between Merrimack and Mass Lowell is renewed yet again
with a home and home series. The brawls have stopped as the rivals
moved to DivI, but the hockey is still exciting.
Maine and Providence travel to the North Country for a pair of NC games
with Clarkson and SLU, who made the trip to New England last season.
Elsewhere, Northeastern hosts Cornell on Sunday (possibly an afternoon
game?), and Mass Amherst meets DivIII teams Connecticut College and
Trinity.
