A couple of notes (one that appeared in both local newspapers):
Denver's series with North Dakota has been moved to McNichols Arena on Nov.
5-6, rather than at the Coliseum on Nov.4 and 6 (thank you NBA lockout...and
while you're at it, take the rest of the century off).
Also, DU will christen the Magness Arena next October by hosting the 1999
Icebreaker Cup (I believe around Oct. 15). As far as I know, the CCHA will be
represented by Notre Dame, Providence for Hockey East, and an as-yet-to-be-
determined ECAC team. The Magness Arena is supposed to hold 6,200 for hockey
when it's finished (I've been told it should be completed sometime next June,
July).
HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to
[log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
