About 10 days ago, I received by snail mail a copy of the (Troy) Record Hockey
Preview from 20 October. Among other interesting information, there are short
biographies of the individual players. Under Senior wing Tim Regan it states:
"After announcing his intention to become the mayor of Troy last year, now his
withdrawn his expected candidacy. Says the city government is too screwed up.
'Not until they fix their financial situation,' Regan said."

Is this true, or was The Record just pulling my leg? And why would anyone
want to be the Mayor of Troy anyway, the City Manager runs the city if I
remember correctly? (The last statement is just rhetorical, lets not get
completely off topic.)
