Since bands seem to be on the list a lot lately:
 
Do all college hockey pep bands start playing as soon as an OPPONENT
scores?  Ours does, and I find it kind of annoying.  It almost seems as
if we're helping the opposition celebrate.  I suppose the idea actually
is to fire up the home team for a renewed effort, kind of like in
football you hear "Everyone up for the kickoff!" regardless of who
scored last.  But . . . at Lakeview Arena the NMU band launches its
number IMMMEDIATELY after the opponent scores, not when the faceoff,
signallying the start of another "round," is about to take place.
 
Just curious.  (What else can you contribute when your team has suddenly
disappeared??  Groan!)
