HOCKEY EAST KARHU PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DAVID CULLEN, SO D, MAINE
Cullen (St Catherines, ONT) scored a goal and added three assists in the
Black Bears' weekend sweep of Northeastern and Boston University.  He
registered three points in a 7-2 win over Northeastern and led the Maine
defense which allowed only three goals in two games.
HONORABLE MENTION: Chris Masters (F, Boston College); Martin Fillion (G,
Mass Lowell); Martin Laroche (F, Merrimack); Erik Kaminski (F,
Northeastern).
 
HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
SEAN MATILE, G, NEW HAMPSHIRE
Matile (Williams Lake, BC) stopped 69 of 73 shots in two road wins as the
Wildcats moved into first place.  He recorded 36 saves in a 5-2 win at
Merrimack and 33 saves in a 5-2 win at Boston College.
HONORABLE MENTION: Tony Hutchins (F, Boston College); Alfie Michaud (G,
Maine); Chris Bell (F, Mass Lowell); Jayson Philbin (F, Merrimack); Marc
