From UMAINE TODAY:

o Tammy Light, UMaine's assistant athletic director for compliance,
is leaving the University at the end of March. She has accepted a similar
job at Providence College.

This is certainly a bad blow to Maine. Tammy has worked hard to get Maine
back in compliance and from what I hear really cares about the athletes.
She's not just some administrator. The fact that she can go to Providence
is a credit to the good work she has done here.

What does this mean for Maine? I don't know, I certainly hope we'll hire
someone who knows the ropes very, very well. You need to remember that
after this year, we are still on probation for three years, so we can't have
much "on the job learning".
