merrimack was clogging up the passing lanes, and
frankly Merrimack looked a lot like Maine when Maine
played NU and BC... the worked hard, and never
stopped.  And NONE of merrimack's goals was pretty,
all hard work.

Ben needs to learn to stop a breakaway.  Robitaille
scored on a short handed breakaway after Dimmen
accidentially coughed up the puck and Brett was
nowhere near in a defensive position.

I have a question, is maine in the plus or minus when
they have a powerplay this season?  I think Maine has
3 pp goals, and has given up 4 short handed goals...
am I wrong?

THe upsides... Billy is passing a lot more, I think it
will take a little time for his linemates to get used
to it and expect passes.  That will come.
Van Dyk is special... another IMes with the puck.
Sweetland is also special... he is strong and he
reminds me of Penner when he was playing well at
Maine.
Maine played without Laise and Clarke, two great
hustlers.... hard to have them out of the lineup.

Bellamy is still working his butt off and doing some
great back checking.

Maine has more upside than down, but, this team is
ONLY going to win by working hard... I thought they
had learned that lesson at NU, but I guess they
didn't.
