it is not an offense against the other team, therefore it does not deserve a
powerplay...
other examples of simple misconduct penalties include if a plater calls a
referee an ass or another name...the player is not doing something that
offends the other team or takes a scoring opportunity away, therefore he
gets panalized , not his team, and the other team does not get a powerplay.
