Did anyone else notice that Minnesota is getting a vote in this poll???

Whomever is responsible for that vote is "out to lunch!". Minnesota is
3-9 in the WCHA, 7-13 overall, and has a RPI of 26. It's probably Mr.
Woog (their coach) but let's be realistic here voter.

It interesting to note that the RPI is a pretty good indicator of the
top teams -- just a tidbit for those who don't like computer rankings.
The RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) is used by the NCAA tourney selection
commmittee and is worth taking a look at.

Right now, Maine is 14th on the RPI rankings list. They have a better
RPI than Northern Michigan, Northeastern, Princeton, Clarkson and are
only one spot behind CC -- all of the aforementioned teams got votes in
the most recent poll. I find this quite interesting.

I think it is easy to make a case for every one of teams that did get
votes -- except for MINNESOTA. They stick out like a sore thumb!

Note: Minnesota got no votes in the other major poll (the USA
Today/American Hockey Magazine poll).
