I haven't seen any comments aside from what came from Providence so I
figured I'd throw in some observations. If someone who was at the
game could comment on what happened that would be great! I only heard
the game via the radio.

The first period was really a killer. Maine totally dominated
Providence, yet made about 3 mistakes where they left guys open.
Providence scored on two of those. Blair Marsh on the radio really
critizied Massota for using a poke check on two quasi-breakaways that
accounted for the 2-1 Providence lead.

Second period, Massota made up for it. From what I could tell he
played really well and gave Maine a chance to come back. Bobby
Stewart got a goal to make it 2-1 PC.

It all fell apart in the third. Has anyone else noticed how when this
team does lose, it seems to be one period where there is a real
letdown? One could say that was the first allowed 2 goals on 6 shots,
but PC got two goals in like a minute to make it 4-1 and they cruised
from there.

I think we may see Alfie back in net tonight, and some more lineup
changes too. Walsh really changed up the lines last night putting
what they called a "grinder" on the radio on every line. Didn't
really work out I think given the result.

Pretty big game Saturday night, must win.

Heard someone say (Marsh I think) on the radio that Walsh just wants
to win 2 of these last 4 (now 3) games going into the break. Pretty
interesting, he must think that the three weeks off are really going
to help this team. This is just like last year, struggling early in
the year. I hope he's right and we put it together in the second half
of the year. I think we can.
