Cathy, I hope you didn't think I was attacking you personally - I just
had to get my opinion out there.  You maybe didn't say FMH couldn't
improve but your tone of prior messages certainly gave that indication.
I realize it must be frustrating to be involved with a group like this -
especially when it is the current topic of this mailing list... ;-).  I
just think that FMH has to try to do a better job of getting the word
out. How?  Here are some suggestions I would make - (1) Internet (I
understand this is already in the works.) (2)  Mailings with tickets
(send FMH literature detailing what the group does and is all about) - I
order a fair number of tickets each year from the ticket office but can
never recall ever hearing anything about FMH via this route.  (3)  Try
to sponsor events at other places other than Orono (I, and a lot of
people I know who are behind the team, don't make it up there very often
any more but that doesn't mean we are not behind Maine hockey 100%!) -
You must have members who are not in Orono who could assist with this.
I would be willing to help out with this if I only knew more about your
organization.  I have learned a lot recently and I appreciate your
taking the time to make these clarifications.  I am now considering
joining FMH to put my money where my mouth is...;-) !
