The University of Maine Women's Ice Hockey team dropped a pair of games to
traditional ECAC powers this weekend. On Saturday the Bears lost to #6
Northeastern 4-1 and on Sunday Maine was blanked by Providence 6-0.
Maine is now 1-7 in conference play and 4-8 overall (including
exhibitions). The Black Bears will host Division III Bowdoin Tuesday night
at 7:00 at Alfond Arena in Orono where the Lady Black Bears will look to
get a "W".
Maine has now dropped 4 straight games and has been outscored 20-1 in those
games! Ouch! After Bowdoin things don't get any easier as Maine will
close out the 1999 part of the ECAC schedule with a game with #2 ranked New
Hampshire!
