You knew it was going to be a tough night for Lowell when their goalie fell
flat on his face coming out on the ice at the start of the game. The
number of Maine fans who travelled the 200 plus miles from Orono far
exceeded the folks who travelled the 20 miles or so from Lowell (They also
have the luxury of train service right into North Station!!). Thanks to
the folks from Friends of Maine Hockey for organizing a great pre-game
rally at the Harp, too.

The attendance of 9289 set a record for the Hockey East semifinals.

Lindsay A Huntoon - still hoarse from singing...
******************
Fill the steins to dear old Maine
Shout 'till the rafters ring
Stand and drink a toast once again
Let every loyal Maine man sing
Drink to all the happy hours
Drink to the careless days
Drink to Maine our alma mater
The college of our hearts always.
