Alfond has already returned any tickets they had left.  I  know a lot of them
went in 20 ticket blocks as folks got a $5 discount if bought that way!
 
Interesting note:  The team will be practicing at BU!  Coach Parker arranged
for UMaine to use their big rink!  Thanks to the Mutts!!  (I know - I'm an
ingrate, but I just don't change THAT fast!)
 
Although I laughed out loud at Wayne's description of HE official's reaction
to attendees, his anticipated crowd tally this Friday I think will prove low.
It seems many many folks from Maine are traveling down.  I know there is at
least one bus from McDowell Tours going. I wouldn't be surprised at all to
HEAR a vocal Maine crowd making their presence known!
 
The pregame rally WILL be at The Harp directly across Causeway from the Fleet,
beginning around 6:30, where you can get something to eat and drink before
being led across the street at 7:30 by the UMaine Pep Band playing the Stein
Song!  It is my understanding that Ray Jacques, #5 UMaine early 80's standout
scorer Alum, has been working overtime to contact as many of the Alumni living
close to Boston to get them there, too!  I even have word that Bob Beers will
be there, schedule permitting!
 
I really hope everyone cheers until their voices crack.  I spoke with a bunch
of the guys yesterday and they were so appreciative of the LOUD Maine fans at
UNH, crediting the fans perserverence in cheering the team on with being
inspirational to the team.  You folks made ALL the difference.  I can't state
it any more strongly!  Besides, it takes at least 5 of you to equal my
foghorn, and I can't be there!!!!
