From today's Bangor Daily News, excerpted from a story with by-lines of
Mahoney and Holyoke ...

Alison Lorenz, a sophomore forward for the University of Maine women's
hockey team, has been named ECAC Alliance Player of the Year and a
member of the Women's Alliance All-stars first team.

Lorenz, from Brewer, leads the nation in goal scoring at an average of
1.9 per game and points per game at 3.0. She also leads the nation in
game-winning goals with eight.

Teammate Amy Oliver, a sophomore goalie from Orono, was named an
honorable mention.

cheers U Maine!
