Nobody said it was said in jest.  What we meant (at least MY meaning) was
that the Globe never ADMITS that UMaine has anything good about it.  To have
this truth (that UMaine does have excellence) published must have been a
major slip in unwritten company policy.  What would have been this cat's
meow, though, would have been praise for the hockey program!!
