Where else in the college sports world is there a local daily newspaper with
such a consistently negative editorial slant on their college sports
articles?  What would they write about if they didn't have UMaine around?
 They wouldn't need as many staff writers, would they?
 
Can't they see the cumulative impact this consistently negative publicity has
on funding for UMaine?  It's a proven fact that the further away from any
situation you are the more you tend to believe the media coverage of that
situation, and these opinion pieces and other articles are damaging.  I also
remember very well the way they jumped on the bandwagon & capitalized on the
championship.
 
When are the readers going to demand comprehensive reporting instead of
rehashed verbal vomit?
