Once again Miami proved itself as one of the best teams in the country. In a 7
to 1 win over University of Illinois - Chicago Miami proved itself once again.
Although UIC didn't play horribly, Miami just dominated the game. Shulmistra
in goal was once again impeccable and the defense was a primary reason for
that. Although Miami had some difficulties getting it together, they did not
falter.Coach Gwozdecki pulled the team together and the team responded. Jason
Mallon had a goal tonight and showed that his talent is maturing and that he is
developing into a powerhouse player.

Further, Hoby Baker award candidate, Brian Savage showed his awsome goal
scoring skills while dominating the UIC defense.

In all, Miami once again showed that they can be the best in the nation, and
they will soon get their chance in the NCAA (assuming they make it). Keep in
mind Miami only lost 3 to 1 to Maine and the 3rd goal was an empty netter.
That would be one of the closest wins Maine has had!
