I was surprised to find no mention of the following on the list:
Tuesday's (7/21) Boston papers, as well as the Lowell "Sun", carried the
interesting news that Quinnipiac College (private, Hamden, CT, +/- 3000
students in a roughly 2-1 ratio women-to-men) is planning to upgrade ALL
their varsity sports to Div I level. President John Lahey announced their
intention Tuesday, pending NCAA approval. QC presently plays hockey in the
ECAC "South" as a Div. II entrant, along with Skidmore, Fairfield, Wesleyan,
Sacred Heart, Villanova, Iona, and Wentworth.
HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to
[log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
