I noticed the posting for the all star game on 4/10 on the list and it
included two players from UW-Superior and Todd Tretter from Point, both
Division III. Tretter is certainly the statistical leader for Point with 22
goals and 34 assists on the year including 8 PP and 2 SH.
However, if Tretter deserves to be there, so does Frank Cirone who is hot as a
firecracker right now. Cirone had 20 goals and 25 assists, but in the series
against Bemidji he dominated - a hat trick in game one AND 3 assists, plus a
goal and assist in game 2 and the winning goal in the minigame. Furthermore
he set a team record and tied an NCHA record with 5 SH on the season. Despite
playing on the number one line, took only 6 minors for the year. Is it
because he is only a Junior? Do you have to be a Senior for that game?
Good luck to all Div III players in the game, both East and West!!
