Unfortunately the non-conference scheduling would make this challenging
for Bemidji to be included. It could be done but Bemidji would not play
much non-conference outside of the state of Minnesota. This year
Bemidji does not play Minnesota or St. Cloud.

Subject: DQ Cup
Here's a little blurb I found on the Sports Illustrated web site:
"It might not have the history Boston's Beanpot tournament, but The DQ
Cup is about to take collegiate hockey in Minnesota by storm. The
tournament lasts throughout the season and pits Minnesota State, St.
Cloud State, Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota in a dozen head-to-head
games to determine a winner. No offense to Boston, but we'd take a DQ
Blizzard over a pot of beans any day of the week."
I then found a mention of it on the University of Minnesota web site:
http://www.gophersports.com/sportsNews/press_release.asp?news_id=1
1299&sport_id=mhock
The cup will be based on regularly scheduled games throughout the
season. It is not all the games that each team plays against each
other.
