PROVIDENCE MEN’S HOCKEY PREPARES FOR 2001-02 SEASON WITH ANNUAL BLACK AND
WHITE SCRIMMAGE
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s hockey team will hold its
annual Black and White Scrimmage on Saturday, September 29 at 12:30 p.m. at
PC’s Schneider Arena. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Following the scrimmage there will be a “Skate with the Friars” session,
which fans will be able to skate with players from 2:30-3:30 p.m. This is
an excellent opportunity for fans of all ages to get autographs and photos
with the 2001-02 Providence College hockey team.
The Friars will open their 2001-02 season with an exhibition game against
the University of Western Ontario on Saturday, October 6 at Schneider
Arena. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
The team will begin its regular-season schedule against CCHA power Michigan
on October 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Maverick Stampede in Omaha, Nebraska. PC
first home game is Friday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. when the Friars host
Sacred Heart University at Schneider Arena.
Tickets for all PC home games can be purchased Monday through Friday from
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the PC Ticket Office in Alumni Hall of by calling
(401) 865-GOPC.
