Ohio wins ACHA title for third straight year
ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Ohio's J.J. Bamberger scored at 11:54 of the third
period to break a 1-1 tie and goaltender Brody Danner stopped 28 shots as
the Bobcats won their third straight American Collegiate Hockey Association
Division I championship with a 2-1 win over Iowa State. Danner, who was
4-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .933 save percentage, was named
the most valuable player. The game, played before a capacity crowd in Ann
Arbor, was a rematch of last year's final which Ohio won, 5-1.
