In the 8th round of the NHL entry draft, the Washington Capitals picked
Chris Patrick, a 6-5, 200 lb.center/ right wing who playes for Kent Prep
School in Connecticut this past season. He will enroll at Princeton this
fall. He's the son of Capital's President, Dick Patrick. His
grandfather, Murray, and his uncle, Lynn played for the 1940 Rangers
championship team. His great-grandfather, Lester Patrick, was the person
that the former Patrick Division was named for.
The Capitals drafted two other high school seniors, but I don't know if
they'll be attending college this fall. They are:
Matt Herr, C, 6-1, 180 lb., Hotchkiss School (4th round, 93rd overall)
John Touhy, D, 6-2, 180 lb., Kent Prep School (9th round, 223rd overall)
