Okay, I already helped continue this thread, so I don't feel *too* bad
about contributing further.
 
To answer a question asked by someone else, the black hole cheer is alive
and well in Minnesota. Except the boneheaded students leave off the "Hey
<name>, you're not a goalie..." first verse, and skip right to the sieve
chant. They claim (or so I heard) that they never recognize that the
man between the pipes is even a goalie.
 
This year at the NCAA championships in Cincinnati, I sat through most of
the CC-UVM game with Minnesota fans from the student section, right in
the middle of the Vermont fans. We did a cheer that is a regular in
Mariucci, which, as far as I know, is a Golden Gopher exclusive:
 
Gimme an S! Gimme an E! Gimme an X!
What's that spell? SEX!
What's that mean?
Score score score score score!
 
It seemed to get a chuckle out of the Vermont fans.
 
We did the black hole cheer on Tim Thomas after he let in the third
goal, much to the displeasure of the fans around us. They were happy,
then, when we turned around and did it to Lambert after his third goal.
Equal opportunity hecklers.
