According to this morning's Cincinnati Enquirer, Miami's Senior
Tri-Captain defenseman, Andrew Backen will be lost from 12-24 weeks due to
severed
tendons in his lower left arm due to an injury suffered from the skate
blade of a teammate at a practice last Wednesday before the Freezeout
tounament in L.A. The article also went on to state that Goalie Kevin
Deschanbeault and wing Jared Echternach will be reinstated after this
Friday's home opener against MSU. The two had been suspended indefinitely
due to team rules violations. Finally, anyone in the Cinci area with kids
in youth hockey programs can get free admission for the kids at Friday's
game. Youth players wearing their team jerseys get in free.
