Well The big question is what's the difference between hitting after
the whistle, and roughing (or fighting for that matter) I'm of the
opinion that fighting is a part of hockey, Now that doesn't mean that
I want a fight every five minutes but lets face, they practically happen
already. All year up here in maine I've witnessed at least a dozen
instances of "fights", In the NHL most of them would ahve been called
Roughing, in college hockey they are called Hitting after teh whistle.
The true fights were called as roughing. Let's just legalize it but
not let it detract from the game.
If you won't give me that at least give me this...
Remove the rule that states that players must wear a
full face mask. That amount of stick work in college hockey is
rediculous. Everytime a player is in the corner he is constaly being hit
by the stick, slashes (two handed or otherwise..) tripped dragged etc.
This is one rule which will decrease this nonsense (and thus speed up
play even more....)

P.S. GO BRUINS GO UMAINE BLACK BEARS 30-0-2 STILL NUMBER 1......
