Dues for most "Booster" type organizations are not tax deductible, because
they are not considered charitable gifts.  If you receive benefits as a
result of your paid membership - a pin, a shirt, the "privilege" of buying
certain seats, invitations to events you wouldn't otherwise receive - you
probably aren't entitled to a tax deduction.  But your institution (in this
case, UND) can tell you for sure.

Direct gifts to the hockey program, of course, are tax deductible as gifts
to the university.
